CTI has conducted the following training programs:

2. National Help Desk - 999 , in collaboration with Bangladesh Police

3. Skill Development for Mobile Game and Applications- in collaboration with ICT Division, Ministry of Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technology and MCC Limited. 

The Center for Trade and Investment has conducted recruitment examinations (OMR or Written) for different government and private organizations in Bangladesh, including National Security Intelligence -NSI, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Controller General of Defense Finance - CGDF, Energy and Mineral Resources Division-Power Division, Ministry of Cultural Affairs - MOCA, Dhaka Power Distribution Company-DPDC, Bangladesh Bank, and etc.

CTI conducts needs assessment studies, skill-gap analyses, etc. and works with various government agencies, development partners, international certification bodies, and chambers of commerce and sector associations to promote skill upgrades for human resources.

CTI intends to suggest curriculum and content modifications in public universities in discussion with employers in order to enhance graduate employability.

CTI actively seeks to upgrade skills of migrant workers to host country acceptable standards.

CTI is also involved in promoting academia-industry collaboration for mutually beneficial results.

Current collaboration partners on skill Development issues include National Skills Development Council (NSDC) Secretariat, Australian Trade Commission, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Ministry of Information Technology.

The prime objective of the Trade and Investment Division is to provide trade and investment related research, training, consultancy and advocacy services.  In order to achieve its vision and seize opportunities that globalization, trade and investment offer, the Center will conduct analytical studies on trade and investment topics; organize policy dialogues, expert group meetings, round table discussions and training courses for policy makers and other stakeholders. The objective is to enhance skills and provide a platform to allow participants to exchange views and experiences. 

CTI provides testing services to corporate outfits to ensure accurate, efficient and impartial recruitment of skilled human resources for managerial and non managerial positions.  Specific areas of work include preparing list of applicants, screening submitted documents, setting and moderating questions, evaluating answer scripts, inputing and verifying data,  conducting tests and interviews, publishing results and merit lists.

The Center has gained substantial expertise and experience in this area and is widely regarded by public and private sector organizations as a reliable institution for outsourcing recruitment and testing activities. 

CTI organizes international conferences on different business and management issues in Bangladesh and overseas in collaboration with leading universities across the region.  CTI publishes its academic conference proceedings in edited volumes.
